DSSAB elections

To be eligible to register for a District Social Services Administration Board (DSSAB) election in an unorganized territory in a Northern Ontario district, you must be:

  • 18 years of age or older;
  • a Canadian citizen; and
  • a resident of the unorganized territory in a Northern Ontario district; or
  • a non-resident who owns or rents property in the unorganized territory in a Northern Ontario district; or
  • the spouse of an owner or tenant of property in the unorganized territory in a Northern Ontario district

Search the Register to confirm, update, add or remove your information to the Register, including adding or removing a property. You will need to provide ID and/or property documentation.

Alternatively, you can complete a paper application form.

You can be a resident in only one municipality or unorganized territory in a Northern Ontario district unless you are a student.

If you or your spouse own or rent property other than your home address in Ontario, you may be eligible to vote in more than one local election
